Job summary

ShopRite of Wyckoff in New Jersey is seeking a Store Detective to protect assets and provide a safe shopping environment. The role involves detecting theft, supporting loss prevention, and maintaining security across the store.

The candidate should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, interact with customers, and travel between store locations as needed. This is a part-time position with non-union status.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Stand/walk for full shifts.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to travel to store locations if applicable.
• Interact with Customers in a friendly way.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Loss Prevention tools to identify and minimize loss.
• Detect and apprehend theft in a professional manner.
• Represent the Company in criminal actions after apprehensions.
• Coordinate investigations and report findings to Store Management.
• Maintain security and safety standards across the store.
