Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear is seeking a Manager in Training in Manhattan, KS. You will assist the Store Manager with operations and administrative duties, and you will become knowledgeable across departments to support selling, merchandising, and promotions.

You will promote outstanding customer service, oversee store functions in the absence of the Store Manager, and help drive profitability through smart inventory and customer engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and meet goals/profits.
• Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets and executing action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Manage store operations in the absence of the Store Manager and provide guidance to employees and customers.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics and expenses to ensure profitability across departments.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Maintain customer service quality and support store initiatives and promotions.
