Job summary

Buckle is seeking an Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager to lead sales and guest service while supporting store operations in Lafayette, Indiana. You will work with the Store Manager and Leadership Team to recruit, train, and motivate Teammates and to step in as Store Manager when needed.

The role emphasizes coaching, leadership presence, and achieving sales goals, with duties spanning merchandising, guest experience, and team development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months retail experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills to train Teammates.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and guest service excellence to create an enjoyable shopping experience.
• Recruit, train and develop Teammates; mentor in Leadership expectations.
• Coordinate store operations, merchandising, and visual standards with Store Manager and Leadership Team.
• Own and execute leadership actions, shift tasks, and Performance Tracker goals.
• Assist Store Manager in recruitment and staffing, and support Buckle’s policies and Loss Prevention.
