Buckle in Lima Center, Michigan is seeking an Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager. The role partners with the Store Manager to develop sales, recruit new Teammates, and provide leadership.

Responsibilities

• Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude, and is consistently prepared to provide legendary service to each Guest
• Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise
• Recommend, select, and help locate merchandise based on Guest needs and desires
• Anticipate and fulfill Guest’s needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobing experience
• Demonstrate product knowledge and sales education to Team
• Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, policies, and security practices
• Meet or exceed personal sales goals and contribute to overall store performance
• Lead by example with showmanship, customer service and attentiveness
• Recruit, train and development of Teammates with Store Manager guidance
• Plan sales goals with Store Manager and manage department calendars
• Assist Store Manager in recruitment of staffing needs and training non-sales positions
• Execute actions to support business goals and visual standards
• Coordinate with Store Manager on education focus and zone ownership
• Ensure execution of open/close checklists and Loss Prevention practices
• Maintain a clean, organized and shoppable store and communicate with leadership on merchandise handling concerns
• Complete all scheduled shifts and cover shifts as needed
• Partner with Corporate Office Departments to ensure effective store operation
• Travel to cover other stores within District when required
• Adhere to Buckle’s Code of Ethics and company policies
