Job summary

The Salvation Army Arc San Jose Seaside Store is seeking a part-time Sales Associate/Material Handler to assist customers, stock merchandise, handle donations, and maintain a clean, organized store environment. This role offers on-site work at the Seaside location and pays $16.90 per hour.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing donations, stocking items, and supporting the store team with daily operations and checkout duties.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock priced items on the sales floor per TSA standards.
• Sort donations and keep the store organized and clean.
• Assist in maintenance of the store and perform cleaning duties as assigned.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies and maintain a safe work area.
• Support store team with flexible scheduling to ensure coverage.
