Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California’s Kailua Thrift Store is hiring a Sales Associate/Material Handler to greet customers, stock shelves, process donations, and maintain a clean, organized store floor. You will handle POS transactions, assist donors, and work as part of a friendly team focused on providing excellent service.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors with a genuine, helpful attitude.
• Stock priced items and merchandise on the sales floor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and donation area; perform cleaning duties as needed.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies and TSA procedures.
• Ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
• Attend required store meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory accurately.
