Job summary

The Salvation Army SF ARC is seeking a SALES ASSOCIATE/MATERIAL HANDLER full-time at the SF Main Thrift Store. This role blends customer service, donor interaction and merchandise handling in a busy retail environment.

You will greet customers and donors, stock and price items, process donations, operate the POS system, and keep the store clean and organized to TSA standards. Qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent, ability to pass background checks; pay is $19.61/hour with full

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must pass background check (Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry).
• Ability to operate POS/Cash Register.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock items on the sales floor in accordance with Salvation Army standards.
• Sort donations and process items for sale.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization; perform cleaning tasks as assigned by management.
• Follow all POS/Cash Register policies and TSA procedures.
