Job summary

TD Bank US in Charlotte, NC seeks a senior leader to head the Retail Distribution Internal Quality Controls function. You will establish and oversee the control environment across 1100+ locations, ensuring safe, compliant operations and strengthening risk management.

This role partners with Retail Distribution, Compliance, Risk Management, and Audit to identify gaps, drive remediation, and foster a culture of accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Economics or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CRCM, CAMS, CISA, CIA, CRMA are assets.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in banking, operational risk management, internal controls, compliance or audit.
• 7+ years of leadership experience managing teams and enterprise-scale control programs.
• Strong knowledge of retail banking operations, fraud prevention controls, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the internal controls framework across the retail center network, ensuring safe, compliant, and well-controlled operations across 1100+ locations.
• Develop and execute the branch internal controls strategy aligned to enterprise risk appetite.
• Partner with Retail Distribution, Compliance, Risk Management, and Audit to identify gaps, assess risks, and remediate control weaknesses.
• Establish branch control standards, policies and procedures; maintain governance routines and risk taxonomy.
• Provide independent challenge and governance to bank management and drive accountability without direct authority.
