Job summary

SBH Fashion, a prestigious luxury fashion house, seeks a contracted HRBP/Generalist for its North American retail organization.

In a high-touch luxury environment, you will serve as a primary HR partner to store managers and employees, focusing on employee relations, HR support, and day-to-day people matters across boutiques and locations. The role is freelance/hybrid with NYC HQ and offers potential for full-time consideration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience, preferably in retail or luxury settings.
• Experience handling employee relations from intake through resolution.
• Experience with geographically dispersed workforce across multiple states or provinces.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment practices, and compliance.
• Experience partnering with managers and senior leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary HR point of contact for employees and managers across North American retail locations.
• Provide guidance on employee relations including performance management, attendance, conduct, workplace concerns, and disciplinary processes.
• Partner with Retail Managers to address employee concerns fairly and in line with policies and laws.
• Conduct and support employee investigations, documenting findings with senior HR leadership and Legal when appropriate.
• Help foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture across retail locations.
• Develop relationships with Store Managers, Regional Managers, Retail leadership, and corporate HR teams.
• Provide day-to-day HR guidance to retail management on people-related questions.
• Support implementation of HR policies across North American locations and liaison between retail and corporate HR.
