Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator (Full Time) to support Retail District Managers, Site Managers and employees across the region. You will recruit, onboard, train and answer HR/pay questions while maintaining data accuracy.

Requirements include 2+ years HR experience in retail/food & beverage, strong communication, and mastery of MS Office and ATS tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HR experience including recruiting and onboarding.
• Strong communication; written, verbal and listening skills.
• Experience creating employee data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data.
• Expert at multi-tasking with continued attention to detail.
• Expert in time management such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive information with discretion.
• Basic knowledge of employment laws including ADA, FLSA, and FMLA.
• Proficient in technology; applicant tracking systems, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting talent and assisting with sourcing candidates in difficult to hire markets.
• Set up and attend local recruiting/hiring events such as job fairs.
• Onboarding a high volume of new employees in the ATS; track onboarding completion.
• Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation sessions.
• Conduct exit interviews and report trends to address issues.
• Compile and report employee data and information.
• Respond to basic employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, pay, safety, etc.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws; identify and escalate risks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of HR systems and practices in the region and company.
