Job summary

MechMaxx in the United States is seeking an Operations Associate to own the day-to-day fulfillment of purchase orders from large retail accounts. You will ensure POs move from receipt to delivery, acknowledge orders via EDI, coordinate with NJ, CA, IL, and TX warehouses, and tender freight through retailer systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in order fulfillment for large retail accounts.
• Hands-on experience with EDI 850/855/856/810 (and 997) with an EDI platform.
• Familiar with retailer vendor portals, routing guides, and chargeback processes.
• Experience coordinating LTL and parcel shipments with tracking.
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets (lookups, pivots).
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and acknowledge POs via EDI and confirm accuracy.
• Coordinate fulfillment with warehouse teams across multiple states to meet ship windows.
• Transmit EDI documents (856, 810) on time and resolve rejected transactions.
• Tender shipments through retailer TMS/VPX and track deliveries.
• Generate shipping labels, packing lists, BOLs, and carton markings.
• Track fill rate and on-time shipping; flag shortages and communicate updates.
• Investigate chargebacks and disputes; document supporting evidence.
• Maintain item data, orders, and shipment status in systems and portals.
• Support retailer onboarding and item/catalog setup.
• Identify recurring issues and propose process improvements.
