Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks a Shipping and Receiving Associate to perform routine tasks in shipping and receiving of parts and materials. Operate pallet jacks and forklifts to move parts for storage and ensure Maximo CMMS is kept up to date.

You will help plan work, source materials from various vendors, and assist craft personnel to ensure timely material availability while maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with Maximo/CMMS system required.
• Experience sourcing material for jobs of various disciplines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Wear PPE.
• Comply with environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
• Loads and unloads material for deliveries and shipments.
• Constructs packaging/boxes/containers to prepare for shipment.
• Moves material within the facility using pallet jacks, forklifts, and similar equipment.
• Operates and performs routine maintenance/inspections on packaging equipment and lift trucks.
• Performs general housekeeping and keeps a clean, organized work area.
• Uses Maximo/VAMS CMMS to review work orders and draft purchase orders.
• Maintains accurate inventory in Maximo/VAMS for audits.
• Identifies material needs with craft personnel and sources from vendors.
• Plans work by updating material availability and work orders.
• Supports vendor coordination.
