Job summary

America’s Thrift Stores is seeking a Retail Supervisor to lead the front-end and sales floor operations, ensuring quick, friendly service and adherence to company standards. You will coach staff, monitor inventory, and support promotions while maintaining donor and customer satisfaction.

The role requires rotating mid-shifts, evenings, weekends and holidays, with a focus on accuracy in cash handling, pricing, and merchandising. Join a values-driven team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ supervisory experience in retail.
• Basic math skills and computer literacy.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise departmental team members.
• Recruit, hire, train, and onboard staff.
• Schedule team based on labor needs.
• Manage inventory tracking and stock levels.
• Oversee cash register operations and loss prevention.
• Ensure safety and OSHA guidelines.
• Foster a positive customer/donor experience.
• Maintain appealing visual displays.
• Support store leadership with promotions.
• Handle customer and donor questions and complaints.
