Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking a Retail Supervisor to join our Store Leadership Team. You will assist the Store Manager in daily operations, provide leadership to diverse associates, and drive sales with a personalized shopping experience.

The role emphasizes training, coaching, product knowledge, and collaboration with leadership to ensure optimal store performance and adherence to company policies. Flexibility in scheduling is expected for a retail environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in position or specialization
• Skill operating Inventory and Point of Sales (POS) systems, and various other retail software tools.
• No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred)
• Ability to use judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems.
• Effective communication skills; able to exchange ideas and information with the store leadership team, associates, and consumers.

Responsibilities

• Provides training and in-the-moment coaching to ensure associates engage consumers, make product recommendations, and leverage product knowledge to influence buying decisions.
• Supports store leadership in the execution of merchandising directives; ensures timely replenishment of the sales floor and maintains high store standards for product presentation and store cleanliness.
• Supervises and oversees assigned department of responsibility. Drives department sales through deep understanding of consumer needs, product training, visual merchandising, and communication of product needs and challenges with store leadership.
• Collaborates with store leadership team to ensure accurate execution of procedures and compliance with company policies. Works to resolve any problems or errors.
• Creates and maintains a store culture of teamwork; leads by example to high professional standards and demonstrates Columbia Sportswear Company values.
