Job summary

Michaels is seeking an Events Coordinator to plan and facilitate engaging events such as children's birthday parties within our Lebanon, PA store. You will deliver friendly customer service, help guests shop, and coordinate event logistics from setup to cleanup.

Ideal candidates have retail or customer service experience, a passion for creating memorable guest experiences, and the ability to manage multiple activities while maintaining store standards.

• Experience working with children and children’s events.
• Good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication and listening.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients to create an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants; perform face painting and activities.
• Facilitate add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Answer emails, make calls, and complete paperwork as needed.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs.
• Ensure client satisfaction and uphold store cleanliness and safety standards.
