Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Supervisor for our Warren Store (10mile & Schoenherr) to lead day-to-day department operations and mentor team members. You will direct staffing, coaching, and workflow to ensure excellent customer service and efficient store performance.

You will manage indicators for sales, service, and product presentation while upholding company standards. This role emphasizes growth, safety, and a positive Meijer experience for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• At least 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in store areas such as meat, bakery, produce and deli and customer service flow.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning by providing career paths and development needs for team members.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensure training and safety compliance across the team.
