Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store/department supervisor to lead day-to-day operations, coach team members, and drive customer satisfaction. You will manage staffing, train associates, and uphold company standards across departments to ensure efficient service and sales results.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of retail experience and at least 1 year in a supervisory role, with strong communication and leadership skills to mentor the team and maintain a safe, welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required and shows foundational education.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience is required.
• One year of management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentors and coaches team members to meet service and sales goals.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service and store performance.
• Maintains store appearance and adherence to company standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes career development and succession planning for the team.
• Documents disciplinary actions and performance management.
• Responsible for P&L, sales targets, and shrink control.
• Ensures safe, courteous, and efficient customer service.
