Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. in West Covina, CA is seeking a training-focused team member to develop Product Sales Specialists and ensure customers receive exceptional service and product information.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of customer service/sales, and strong communication. Duties include directing staff, merchandising, POS processing, and teaching the basic P’s of retail; opportunities for growth and certification are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service/sales experience or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act with Floor & Decor core values.
• Comply with safety SOPs and forklift certification where applicable.
• Drive and teach the basic P’s of retail: People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing.
• Provide direction to product sales specialists for attentive customer service.
• Complete product specialist certification courses.
• Demonstrate understanding of merchandise and installation.
• Manage merchandising, pricing and organization of the department.
• Communicate SOP changes to associates in a timely manner.
• Greet customers and assist with product questions and selections.
• Process checkout and handle refunds/exchanges per guidelines.
• Present how-to classes to customers.
• Stock displays and create price tags and signs.
