Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions, manage sales transactions at the register, and maintain store cleanliness and stock. This role requires reliable attendance, basic math, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs.

You’ll work with team members to ensure safety, protect assets, and greet customers with a friendly, helpful attitude. Part-time hours may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, grocery, hotel, restaurant, or drug store environments is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register and maintain cash security.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
