Job summary

Family Dollar seeks a Customer Service Associate to deliver a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, and help keep shelves stocked and merchandised in a busy store.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, clean environment and supporting unloading and stock replenishment as needed, with a strong emphasis on friendly interactions and teamwork in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
