Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. The role involves assisting customers, processing sales, and maintaining store cleanliness and stock levels.

You will handle merchandise receiving, unloading, replenishment, and ensure a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff. Prior retail or service experience is preferred, with ability to lift 30–50 lbs and follow operational instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, including bathrooms; sweep and mop floors; take out trash.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
