Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a friendly Courtesy Clerk to greet customers, assist with purchases, and keep the store clean and welcoming. You will help customers from the register to their vehicle, stock shelves, and support teammates throughout shifts.

Ideal candidates enjoy staying active, delivering great service, and contributing to a positive store atmosphere. Training is provided, with opportunities to learn across departments.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions accurately.
• Basic math ability for cash handling and counting.
• Strong teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and helping them find items.
• Package purchases and assist customers in transporting them to their vehicle.
• Maintain store cleanliness and replenish stock as needed to keep shelves organized.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed and cooperate with team members.
• Shovel, salt, and sand walkways during winter conditions when required.
• Report to work on time and adhere to Hy-Vee policies.
