Job summary

Hy-Vee is hiring a Courtesy Clerk in the General department. You will greet customers, package purchases, and assist customers to their vehicle. You’ll keep the store clean, stocked, and welcoming, and help train new courtesy clerks as needed.

There are no education or prior experience requirements; we provide training. This hourly position keeps you active, with shifts that may include weekends and varying hours to meet store needs.

Qualifications

• Follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
• Perform simple addition and subtraction, copy figures, and count accurately.
• Communicate supply needs orally or in writing.
• Work effectively as part of a team to keep the store clean and customers happy.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and provide friendly service.
• Package purchases and assist customers to their vehicle.
• Return carts from parking lot and manage cart corrals.
• Clean and stock shelves, restrooms, break room and backroom.
• Maintain front-end supplies and rotate merchandise for a full display.
• Assist in other areas and train new courtesy clerks as needed.
