Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Courtesy Clerk to support customers from the register to their car, keep the store clean, stocked, and welcoming. You’ll assist customers, bag purchases, and help with various store tasks to ensure a positive shopping experience.

The role emphasizes teamwork and hands-on service. Training is provided; employment is hourly and on-site, with responsibilities across the store and in multiple departments as needed.

Qualifications

• No education or formal experience required; full training provided.
• Ability to stand/walk during shifts and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong customer service mindset and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and helping them find items.
• Package purchases and assist customers to transportation modes when needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness including registers, restrooms, break room and floors.
• Stock, face, rotate merchandise, and ensure correct shelf tags and locations.
• Help train new courtesy clerks and support other departments as needed within wage/hour guidelines.
