Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a friendly Customer Service Associate to help customers with questions, process transactions, and keep the store stocked and tidy. The role requires reliability, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Part-time hours apply; you’ll work during busy retail periods and uphold a safe, welcoming shopping environment. Responsibilities include unloading merchandise, restocking, cleaning, and maintaining a respectful atmosphere for customers and colleagues

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
