Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help with stocking and store upkeep. The role emphasizes friendly customer interactions and daily store maintenance.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or service experience. The position is typically on-site, with physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and extensive walking involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks for stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, including bathrooms, floors, and general areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
