Job summary

Family Dollar seeks a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. Responsibilities include assisting customers, handling sales transactions, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety.

The role requires strong customer service skills, ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and the capability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Previous retail or service industry experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Stock replenishment and merchandise recovery.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
