Job summary

Goodwill of Silicon Valley is looking for a Customer Service Specialist I to deliver friendly, respectful service while learning store operations. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, help with merchandising and keep the store clean and safe.

This entry-level role focuses on building foundational skills in customer interactions, rounds of surveys, and participation in company programs, while supporting daily store activities and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general arithmetic is required.
• Ability to follow directions and work cooperatively with others.
• Basic reading and writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and professional customer service, greeting customers and responding to inquiries.
• Responsible for cash register operation, sales/monetary transactions, opening/closing procedures.
• Assist with inventory, display, merchandising and pricing adjustments.
• Maintain a neat, clean and safe working environment, including restrooms.
• Adhere to store policies and report safety concerns.
• Educate customers on round-up and Customer Ambassador Program.
