Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Elgin, IL is seeking a Store Team Member to deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and maintain a well-stocked, well-merchandised store. You will help customers find products, complete fast and accurate checkouts, unload trucks, stock shelves, and execute planograms to support our brand promises.

This role requires standing for long periods, the ability to lift, and willingness to work nights, weekends and mornings.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to provide friendly, efficient service and answer questions
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and help customers shop the store.
• Execute cash handling to standards at checkout.
• Unloading trucks, stocking, and maintaining planograms (POGs) to ensure in-stock, well-merchandised aisles.
• Engage customers on rewards programs and enroll them in Private Label Credit Cards.
• Support omni-channel processes like Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Adhere to SOPs and safety programs; participate in store recovery and shrink avoidance.
