Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience and checkout process.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Support training of new team members and cross-training of talent.
• Help write department schedules to improve engagement and store performance.
• Ensure product freshness by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and safe working practices.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product display tasks.
• Foster Meijer culture, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate register and cash handling when needed; operate powered equipment when applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories to help meet goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
