Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a team-oriented leader to direct daily store operations and empower team members toward exceptional customer service. You will guide day-to-day activities, coach staff, and help meet customer and sales goals while maintaining Meijer standards.

You will mentor associates, support training, and collaborate with leadership to optimize schedules and improve store performance. This role emphasizes inclusive leadership and safety in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Engaging peers to provide the best possible shopping experience for our customers including an exceptional checkout experience.
• Communicating with team members and assigning daily work tasks.
• Mentoring and coaching other team members to ensure customer service and sales goals are exceeded and the area is maintained to Meijer standards and team members have completed required trainings.
• Supports training new team members and cross-training high potential talent.
• Working with leadership on department schedule writing to focus on team member engagement, improving customer service and store profitability.
• Guiding the team in compliance with safety standards and policies.
