Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Indiana LLC in Whiting, IN is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help customers with questions, provide recommendations, and deliver a friendly shopping experience.

You will operate a cash register, keep the store clean and stocked, unload merchandise, and maintain safety and professional interactions with customers and team members; part-time role with strong customer service valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Able to follow instructions and read operational documents.
• Lift 30–50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Strong customer service, organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
