Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Indiana LLC in Indianapolis is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions, handle sales transactions at the register, and help maintain a clean, organized store.

The role emphasizes friendly interactions, cash security, stocking, unloading merchandise, and upholding safety. Prior retail experience preferred; HS diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
