Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Indiana LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience at our Merrillville, IN location. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and help maintain merchandise and store cleanliness.

The role requires reliable communication, strong customer service, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This is a part-time position with opportunities for development within a nationwide retail network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
