Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Ohio LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help keep the store safe, clean, and well-stocked.

This part-time position requires lifting 30–50 lbs and strong communication. Prior retail or service experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, and trash removal; keep areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
