Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Ohio LLC seeks a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers, manage sales at the register, stock and keep the store clean to maintain a welcoming environment.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to follow procedures. Prior retail or service experience is preferred; lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
