Eleven Western Builders, Inc. in California, a leading retail general contractor, seeks a Construction Superintendent to lead a team of subcontractors and EWB personnel from start to finish with precision, thoroughness, and tight documentation to ensure jobs stay on schedule and within budget.

You will drive safety, manage scheduling, RFIs, and inspections, travel extensively across California, and coordinate with clients and inspectors to deliver high-quality, code-compliant retail projects on

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a Superintendent role required.
• 3+ years experience building/remodeling in retail, hospitality, fuel stations, open store remodels, fast food; show experience in the last 5 years required.
• Proficient in math, including area and take-off materials.
• Able to read construction documents and knowledgeable in construction methods.
• Computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Project, Word.
• StruXure experience a plus.
• CA Driver’s License with good driving history and dependable transportation; background check.
• OSHA 10 and CPR certification a plus.
• Demonstrated safety history and adherence to safety standards.
• Willing and able to travel extensively across California and other project locations; frequent overnight travel; on-site duration during critical phases.
• Flexible schedules including mornings/evenings/weekends; ability to perform physical tasks up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of subcontractors and EWB personnel from start to finish with precision and documentation.
• Maintain schedule adherence and budget control; ensure work is to code.
• Coordinate all site construction activities and supervise field personnel (up to ~140 per day).
• Conduct daily client, team, and inspector meetings; manage RFIs and change orders.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance; prepare and submit daily progress reports.
• Read job plans multiple times daily and guide work with subcontractors.
