Job summary

Colorado West Construction is seeking a Project Manager with a proven track record managing ground-up retail and grocery construction projects. You will lead projects from award through closeout, oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client communication, and partner with field teams to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience with a Commercial General Contractor.
• Experience managing ground-up retail and grocery construction projects.
• Experience supporting projects with fixed store opening dates and national retail clients.
• Strong knowledge of budgets, forecasting, subcontractor buyout, contracts, and change management.
• Ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of retail construction sequencing and turnover requirements.
• Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead ground-up retail and grocery construction projects from award through closeout.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, documentation, and client communication.
• Coordinate with field teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Collaborate with Superintendents to maintain project schedules and two-week look-ahead planning.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, change events, and project documentation in Procore.
• Identify schedule risks early and implement recovery plans.
• Support punch list completion, project closeout, warranties, and turnover.
• Travel to active jobsites across the Western U.S. as needed.
