Job summary

GGP is seeking a Construction Manager to support the Development Department in expansion, renovation, and ground-up projects. You will oversee budgets, scheduling, and on-site activities, guiding design and coordinating with operations, leasing, and tenant teams to meet company standards and objectives.

The role requires leading project teams, managing budgets and contracts, and ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery across retail real estate assets. Up to 25% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering.
• 5–10 years of general contractor project management experience.
• Experience in retail/restaurant/entertainment/hospitality/mixed-use construction preferred.
• Experience with construction estimating and budgeting.
• Ability to manage projects within an operating business environment.
• Proficiency in project management and scheduling software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead project team with cross-functional partners (Property Management, Development, Leasing).
• Oversee reporting, budgeting, cost control, and schedule optimization.
• Manage contract administration, approvals of contracts, change orders, budgets, and payments.
• Oversee contractor/consultant performance and accountability.
• Develop, validate, and ensure accuracy of budgets and estimates.
• Lead regional construction meetings and report on progress and performance.
• Provide guidance to operations, tenant coordination, and leasing teams on plans.
• Promote best practices and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
