Colorado West Construction seeks an experienced Estimator to support large-scale ground-up retail and grocery projects in the Western U.S. The role involves developing complete estimates from conceptual budgeting through final bid submission, with travel to job sites as needed.

You'll collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure profitable, well-built projects. Strong background in General Contracting and retail construction is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating with a commercial GC.
• Ability to bid 2-3 projects concurrently.
• Knowledge of general contracting and subcontracting.
• Experience in retail, grocery construction.
• Solicit, analyze, and bid subcontractor bids.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office.
• Read and interpret drawings, specs, and manuals.
• Willingness to travel across the Western U.S.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates from project data.
• Visit job sites to gather data for estimates.
• Research labor, material, and production costs.
• Review vendor/subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing.
• Perform risk analysis and detailed estimate reports.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients on bids.
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers.
