Job summary

Cactus Petes Resort Casino is hiring for a retail-facing position at our Jackpot, Nevada team. You will greet guests, record all sales in the POS system, and handle cash, checks, and cards with care.

Maintain a clean, organized shop and stock merchandise, including lifting up to 25 lbs, while following all policies. We value excellent guest service, fast pace tolerance, and basic computer skills to support daily operations and guest experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Must have excellent guest service skills.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• To assure all guests are courteously served with their purchases in a clean and attractive environment.
• Properly record all transactions in the Point-of-Sale system.
• Accurately handle all cash, checks, credit card, gift certificates and comp transactions.
• Maintain on a daily basis a high level of cleanliness in the retail outlet.
• Unpack, stock and price all merchandise in the shop as needed with the ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Assist in stocking and recording stock for all vending machines.
• Straighten, dust, and organize retail outlet when there are no guests.
• Greet guests at the entrance to the retail outlet to encourage them to come in and look around when there are no other duties to perform.
• Responsible for knowing all new policies and procedures in the retail outlet.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures for the retail outlet.
• Complete physical inventory each month requiring lifting, counting and using a stepladder.
• Merchandise products and new arrivals.
• Repack merchandise as seasons change, accurately recording merchandise as it is packed.
