Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is seeking a part-time Cashier/Sales Floor Associate for a new Mentor store. You will deliver friendly customer and donor service, operate the POS system, and help maintain a clean, welcoming sales floor.

The role emphasizes teamwork, basic math, and attention to detail, with a focus on supporting store operations and community impact with each transaction.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math skills and comfort handling cash.
• Prior retail experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer and donor service at every interaction.
• Operate the POS system, handle transactions, and maintain accurate cash records.
• Support programs such as Round Up and Good Points.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise sales floor inventory.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
• Assist with training new team members.
• Follow all agency policies, safety, and security procedures.
• End every transaction with a positive message: "You changed a life today-thank you!"
