Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio in Alliance, OH is seeking a friendly Cashier/Sales Floor Associate to handle customer transactions, stock shelves, and build lasting relationships with customers and donors.

You will process purchases on the POS, handle cash, and assist with merchandising, while supporting store leadership and maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment. This full-time hourly role offers benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strength in mathematics
• Experience with computers preferred
• Strong people and customer service skills
• Prior retail experience preferred
• Able to identify shades and tones of color and visually inspect clothing
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensures 100% donor and customer satisfaction.
• Itemizes purchases on the POS system, handles cash and makes change, and participates in agency programs.
• Utilizes POS software to input starting and ending cash amounts and maintain accurate customer records.
• Handles customer disputes, makes exchanges according to policy, and assists customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Assists in stock rotation, merchandising racks, shelves, and other displays in a presentable manner.
• Assists store leadership in training of new personnel.
• Maintains a clean store by cleaning shelves, dusting, vacuuming floors, and windows/mirrors.
• Assists with floor running, apparel rotation, and dressing room upkeep.
• Follows agency safety policies and addresses safety concerns with team.
• Embodies DGR MODE Guiding Principles.
• Ends every transaction with the phrase 'You changed a life today, Thank you!'
• Other duties as assigned

• Utilizes POS software to input starting and ending cash amounts and maintain accurate customer records.
• Handles customer disputes, makes exchanges according to policy, and assists customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Assists in stock rotation, merchandising racks, shelves, and other displays in a presentable manner.
• Assists store team leadership in the training of new personnel.
• Assists in maintaining a clean store, such as cleaning shelves, dusting, vacuuming floors, and cleaning windows and mirrors.
