Compass Group USA is seeking a Retail Manager to oversee the successful operation of a foodservice retail/cafeteria under the direction of the Director of Dining Services.

You will plan and supervise functions, maintain cash controls and payroll, hire/train hourly team members, and ensure customer satisfaction through safe, efficient resource use. Strong leadership, communication, budgeting and computer skills are essential; prior retail foodservice management experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires B.S. in Food Services Technology/Management or related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of retail foodservice management experience.
• Strong knowledge of foodservice trends, sanitation and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Plans and supervises special functions, manages cash controls and payroll records.
• Oversees hiring/training of hourly team members.
• Ensures customer satisfaction and public relations through safe resource use.
• Directs staff to provide scheduled retail services per policies.
• Trains staff in customer service, portions, cashier skills and safety.
• Prepares reports on a timely basis per corporate procedures.
