Job summary

Compass Group is seeking a Retail Manager to oversee the successful retail/cafeteria operation of Food & Nutrition Services under the direction of the Director of Dining Services.

This role plans and supervises functions, trains hourly staff, ensures customer satisfaction, and maintains cash controls and reporting per corporate policies.

Strong communication, food service knowledge, and budgeting experience are essential for success in this role within a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred in food services management.
• Experience in retail foodservice management is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food, sanitation, and cost controls.
• P&L accountability and experience with contract-managed services desirable.
• Experience with cash retail operations and marketing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plans and supervises special functions, maintains cash controls, payroll records, and oversees hiring and training of hourly team members.
• Ensures customer satisfaction and good public relations through safe and efficient use of resources.
• Directs staff to provide scheduled retail services per corporate policies and standards.
• Trains staff in customer service, cashier skills, portioning, and safety/sanitation.
• Completes daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in corporate policies and procedures.
