Job summary

Southern Bank seeks a Retail Training Specialist to deliver training to branch personnel across Missouri. You will onboard Personal Bankers, mentor staff, and maintain up-to-date training materials to ensure regulatory compliance and excellent customer service.

Travel to branches quarterly for in-person sessions and support a welcoming lobby experience, guiding customers to the right teams and promoting teamwork across the network.

Qualifications

• One year of banking experience, preferably in Front Line Retail or Operations.
• Prior training experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new Personal Bankers with foundational knowledge about bank products, systems, and procedures.
• Assist, train, and mentor branch retail staff as their regional point of contact.
• Review and update training and reference materials with team members.
• Participate in welcoming lobby experiences and guide customers to appropriate team members.
• Promote teamwork in branches to ensure positive customer experiences.
• Identify customer needs and present suitable products and services with internal team support.
• Educate customers on available access channels and digital banking tools.
• Maintain knowledge of procedures for cash handling, ATM/ITM settlement, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to bank privacy standards.
