Job summary

Woodforest National Bank is hiring a Banker II in Illinois-Macomb to deliver the Woodforest Experience through personalized customer interactions and proactive product referrals. The role focuses on growing retail relationships while maintaining strong service and operational standards.

The position requires at least 2 years in retail sales or customer service, a high school diploma, and flexibility to work extended hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant retail sales and/or customer service experience.
• Prior in-store retail banking experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated willingness to accept coaching and feedback to improve performance.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible or extended hours based on retail branch needs.

Responsibilities

• Take personal responsibility for delivering strong retail performance by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate banking solutions.
• Act with accountability in achieving individual sales goals through proactive conversations, referrals, and marketing outreach both inside and outside the branch.
• Demonstrate ownership in resolving customer inquiries or concerns at the first point of contact, utilizing internal partners as needed to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain operational excellence through accurate transaction processing, account opening, and consistent adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to explain complex solutions in a simple to understand way.
• Deliver the Woodforest Experience by creating warm, welcoming, and personalized interactions with every customer, every day.
