Country Bank in Paxton, MA is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the Retail Banking Officer. You’ll help drive sales, grow customer relationships, oversee the end-to-end experience, and mentor staff to deliver the Country Bank Experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Minimum three years in a banking environment required, plus coaching experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Notary Public license; lending origination skills helpful.
• Strong customer service, negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coach Banking Center staff; conduct quarterly coaching sessions and address performance issues.
• Communicate policies and initiatives; lead meetings on leadership, operations, and sales goals.
• Manage scheduling, workflows, and audits; ensure timely policy compliance.
• Promote Country Bank Experience; develop staff skills to enhance customer engagement.
• Build customer relationships; identify financial needs and promote products and services.
• Open and service accounts; educate customers on self-service tools and digital banking.
• Originate and close home equity lines, consumer loans and Small Business Express loans.
• Process transactions, balance cash, and maintain accurate records per bank standards.
