Job summary

Country Bank is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Retail Banking Officer in ensuring the Banking Center operates at the highest level, driving sales growth, managing customer growth and retention, and delivering an exceptional end-to-end customer experience.

The role includes coaching staff, supporting development initiatives, and contributing to the Bank’s goals through community engagement and tailored service while ensuring financial needs are met.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or banking experience preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a banking environment.
• At least one year coaching and supervising others preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-spot coaching to Banking Center staff and conduct quarterly coaching sessions.
• Assist Retail Banking Officer with staff development and sales goals.
• Manage banking center operations, scheduling, and audits to policy.
• Model and promote the Country Bank Experience and coach staff to improve customer engagement.
• Develop customer relationships and educate clients on products, promotions and digital services.
• Open various types of new accounts and guide customers on self-service options.
• Handle account servicing requests and assist with online/mobile banking.
• Originate and close home equity lines of credit and small business loans.
