Keswick Hall And Club in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Grab and Go Attendant to greet guests and guide them through our coffee drinks and merchandise.

You will provide gracious, professional service, learn our offerings, and promote profitability through creative selling. This role requires strong English, teamwork, and the ability to work a variety of shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and 2 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of coffee service.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Thrives in a fast-paced hotel environment and adapts to daily changes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Fluent English (written, spoken and reading).

Responsibilities

• Provide the guest with personal, gracious, and professional service.
• Provide the guest with thorough knowledge of the merchandise offered for sale.
• Translate this knowledge into creative selling techniques to promote profitability.
• Greet customers and ensure that all customers are totally satisfied.
• Determine customer needs and suggest additional merchandise to meet needs.
• Maintain daily awareness of merchandise in stock, and current promotions.
• Follow up on all special orders and service requests.
• Handle difficult customer situations and notify management.
• Educate customers about our premium coffees and teas.
• Ensure the back of house is clean and organized, in accordance with sanitation standards.
• Process payment properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

History and spectacular landscapes come together, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This is the setting for Keswick Hall, an impressive 80-room luxury boutique hotel nestled on 600 acres which recently re-opened in 2021 after renovations. Home to the prestigious Keswick Golf Club, Marigold Restaurant, by Jean-Georges, a new luxury spa and sports and aquatics center.

The Grab and Go Attendant responsibility is to greet customers and provide guidance through our variety of coffee drinks and merchandise offered for sale.

Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Provide the guest with personal, gracious, and professional service, perceptive to their individual wants and needs.
• Provide the guest with thorough knowledge of the merchandise offered for sale..
• Translate this knowledge into creative selling techniques to promote profitability.
• Greet customers and ensure that all customers are totally satisfied.
• Determine customer needs and suggest additional merchandise to meet needs.
• Maintain daily awareness of merchandise in stock, and current promotions.
• Promptly follow up on all special orders and special service requests.
• Professionally handle difficult customer situations and immediately involve or notify management.
• Responsible for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer.
• Responsible for educating customers about our premium coffees and teas.
• Ensure that the back of house is clean and organized, in accordance with sanitation standards.
• Process payment properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 2 years of experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
• Strong knowledge of coffee service.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, and adaptive to the daily changes within the hotel.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Fluent English (written, spoken and reading)
• Strong commitment to service.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize
• Ability to work a variety of shifts as will involve days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Licenses/Certifications

• TIPS Certification
• Certified in CPR. First Aid AED

Physical Demands

• Must be able to go up and down staircase as well as stood and bend
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
